Getting Started

How do I create an account?+
Click "Get Started" on the homepage, enter your email, and complete the onboarding flow. You'll set up your profile, choose your role (artist or producer), select genres, and add your services.
How do I set up my profile?+
Go to Dashboard → Profile. Fill in your display name, bio, location, genres, and upload a profile photo and cover image. Add your social links (Spotify, SoundCloud, Instagram) and featured tracks to showcase your work.
How do I get verified?+
Verification is based on your presence on major platforms. If you're verified on Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram, SoundCloud, or YouTube, you can request verification from your Profile page. We'll confirm your account ownership and grant the badge.
What roles are available?+
You can register as an Artist (vocalist, rapper, songwriter) or Producer (beatmaker, engineer, mixer). Each role has tailored services and discovery features.

Booking & Projects

How do I book a collaboration?+
Find an artist or producer on the Discover page, click "Book," select a service, agree to terms, and fund the escrow. Once the provider accepts, the project begins.
What is the project lifecycle?+
Projects follow these stages: Booked → Terms Signed → Escrow Funded → Files Uploaded → In Session → Delivery Submitted → Approval Pending → Completed. Each stage has clear actions for both parties.
How do split sheets work?+
Inside any project, go to the Splits tab. Both parties can edit songwriter, producer, and master ownership percentages. Splits must be approved by all parties before finalization. You can export approved splits as PDF.
Can I cancel a booking?+
Before escrow is funded, either party can cancel. After funding, cancellation initiates the dispute process. Refund eligibility depends on project progress and terms agreed.

Payments & Fees

How does escrow work?+
When you book a collaboration, your payment is held securely via Stripe. Funds are only released to the provider when you approve the final delivery. This protects both parties.
What are the platform fees?+
Artist Collab charges a 15% service fee on each completed transaction, with a minimum monthly fee of $30 for users with active bookings. There are no signup fees.
When do I get paid?+
Providers are paid when the client approves the final delivery. Funds are transferred to your connected Stripe account, typically within 2-3 business days.
How do refunds work?+
If a dispute is resolved in the client's favor, escrowed funds are returned. Partial refunds may be issued based on work completed. See our Terms of Service for full details.

Live Sessions & Studio

How do live sessions work?+
Inside a project, go to the Session tab and create a new session. Both parties can join a real-time video call with audio/video controls, chat, and recording info (BPM, key).
What are AI Studio Tools?+
The AI tab in your project offers tools powered by Claude: lyric writing assistance, mix feedback, session notes generation, chord suggestions, and toplining. These help accelerate your creative workflow.
How do I upload and manage files?+
Use the Files tab in your project. You can upload stems, mixes, references, masters, and deliverables. Files are auto-versioned and categorized. Audio files have inline playback.

Teams & Labels

How do I create a team?+
Go to Dashboard → Team and click "Create Team." Enter your team name, choose a URL slug, select team type (label, collective, agency, studio), and add a description.
How do I invite team members?+
From your Team dashboard, enter a member's email and select their role (admin, manager, artist, producer, engineer). They'll receive an invitation notification.
What roles exist within teams?+
Owner (full control), Admin (manage members and settings), Manager (oversee projects), Artist, Producer, and Engineer. Each role has different permissions.

Trust & Safety

How do I report a user?+
Use the Contact page and select "Report a User" as the subject. Include the user's profile link and a description of the issue. Our team will review within 6 hours.
How are disputes handled?+
Either party can initiate a dispute within 14 days of delivery. Escrowed funds are held while our team mediates. If mediation fails, the case goes to arbitration.
Is my payment information safe?+
Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. We never store your card numbers. Escrow ensures funds are protected until work is approved.
How do I protect my intellectual property?+
Use split sheets to document ownership before starting work. The Platform supports NDA agreements within project terms. All uploaded files remain your intellectual property.
